Greetings!
The Institute for Pastoral Development (IPD) is a non-stock, non-profit Catholic lay organization aimed at training workers for the Church, that they may become better equipped and more effective in their ministry. This is how IPD hears and expresses its mission to contribute to the larger Church and to the work of Christ.
Presently, IPD is working with dioceses all over the country in what we call the Pastoral Partnership Program. This series of conferences offers courses geared towards developing and enhancing an individual’s skills in personal mastery, interpersonal relationship, empowered leadership, effective management, and values acquisition or aligning of values to higher good. All of these training programs are rooted in Scripture; the topics are culled from generally accepted leadership and management principles; the sessions are participative, and facilitated by expert and seasoned trainers.
In line with the foregoing objective, IPD has embarked on a fundraising activity in conjunction with the Outlooke Pointe Foundation (OPF) in the second of their annual concert series: Sulong Sining: Men of Mission & Music, which will be held on 6 PM, Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Insular Life Theater, Muntinlupa City. The OPF is an institution dedicated to support and create initiatives leveraging on the potent power of the arts and the role it plays in cultural transformation. The concert will include works by the great American masters- George Gershwin and Aaron Copland among others and musicians will include American conductor Marlon Daniel, Filipino pianist Joshua Manalo and Filipino Soprano Mica Pineda. The program will also be integrated with annotations on the historical and transformative value of the music being played, which culturally empowers and transforms the Filipino music audience.
The said musical event is intended to provide the necessary resources most needed in funding the cost of putting up the training programs for the Church volunteers who will teach the Gospel values all over the country. Since most dioceses could only take care of venue and local logistics, your donation may be used for expenses like course materials and trainers’ transportation and honoraria.
Thank you so much for your kind attention. God bless!
Sincerely yours,
Jesus Gallegos, Jr.
Chairman
